In this jersey, Skrastins was on the ice while Joe Sakic registered his 1,500th point (an assist) on Oct. 25, 2006, against the Washington Capitals. Sakic became the 11th player in NHL history to reach the milestone and the sixth to do so with one franchise.
During a 3-2 shootout win against the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 23, 2006, Teemu Selanne beat Skrastins to score his 500th career goal.
