This inaugural set Pro Player is absolutely hammered with heavy wear that is easy to photmatch and vidematch. It features numerous unrepaired holes, burns, tears, black marks, fraying, pilling and loose threads, particularly on the arms like most early Yelle jerseys.
Yelle wore this jersey from the start of the season until at least December 23, 1999, based on available photos and video. The Avs started the season on the road against Nashville, which means this was worn in the first regular season game the team used Pro Player jerseys and the NHL 2000 patch. Yelle recorded an assist and played 19:29 in that season opener.
While wearing this jersey, Yelle also scored a solid Dec. 8, 1999, goal against the San Jose Sharks, a goal for which there is ample videomatch evidence.
