Deep cuts, blue and black marks, sticker damage, imperfections and the chinstrap make it easy to photomatch to Team Canada's loss to USA in the 1996 World Cup Championship, Sakic's lifting of the Stanley Cup during the 1996 banner ceremony, the 1996-97 and 1997-98 regular seasons, and the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan.

Sakic scored his 300th Goal and 500th assist while wearing this helmet.
